Overflow Into Ministry
nonelikejesus: Our ministry is the bowl underneath the cup that represents our own spiritual life. If we wish to see our ministry being filled, it must be through the overflow of our own personal walk with God. True. If your spiritual life is dry, your ministry will suffer as well. Before actually going into service, make sure you are constantly being filled spiritually. I’ve seen...

Basically seeing this unfolding in my Tumblr dashboard right now. I guess, people are people; and although the Bible is inerrant and infallible, people’s interpretation of the Bible is not error-free. Maybe before answering a question concerning sin and/or faith, make sure that the answer you would give would not be merely an opinion but based on Biblical truth. How could one say someone...

Dear all Christian Tumblr folks,  →
cortneyabraham: I realize that Tumblr is a place where we all come to share our feelings, emotions, secrets, desires, and humorous pictures of cats. I understand that almost all of our followers are strangers, which makes it much easier to share parts of ourselves that would normally go unshared. But we must also remember that while our followers are just tiny little pictures, sometimes...

What do you think of women pastors?
The Apostle Paul didn’t permit women to teach or have authority over men (so, putting it in context - in the church) [1 Tim. 2:12]. Should a church allow women to be pastors/preachers? Or is that an act of disobedience and diversion from biblical doctrine?

I'm listening.
Seriously considering what my parents are saying. I shouldn’t listen to what “others” are saying, especially if they don’t seem to be exactly “godly advisers”. If God wants me to be where I am right now, then why isn’t anything working out right? I honestly do not have peace. Maybe I did lose my focus and am still continuing to be out of focus, because...

I think I'm beginning to see.
I am still praying about this. But day by day, I am beginning to see something. Have I been just blind? Is this* where I am actually being called? It might just be this all along. People have been telling me, “why are you going to medical school when you can do [this]?” I used to take it as an offense because I did have my eyes set on becoming a doctor. But it might be this. It just...

Walking on Water.
In person, I would have to say that I’m not really good with words. I find it hard to gather the thoughts that are floating in my head to make a cohesively structured explanation for what I am feeling. So, whenever I am being asked about something that I’m not comfortable discussing, I keep silent. And if forced to speak, I end up being frustrated and words come out wrong. My future...

Had a dream.
Last night, I had a dream that I was holding this sleeping baby in my arms. We were in some sort of a gathering, although I’m not sure what it is. All of a sudden, I was informed that the mother of the baby had left without assurance of a return. So, basically, I was left confused, with a baby in my arms. I decided I would keep her.
